unfortunately Andrew passed away aged 53  on Friday 12th
The local paper put a tribute to Andrew and this is what it said: a Prestatyn weather watcher whose forecasts placed the area on the map has died.
Andrew Morse aged 53, was well known throughout the town and will be best remembered for maintaining the prestatyn weather station for behalf of the Met Office and denbighshire county council. Andrew who died Friday February 12th as well as providing weather and climate measurements and data to the Met Office also ran his own personal website which featured comprehensive statistics on the area's weather serving popular web users.
Prestatyn weather station came on-line in 1932 with Andrew being made a member of the elite group of observers in 1991. Ian Olsen, The costal facilities officer paid tribute to Prestatyn's weatherman. he said " i am deeply saddened by the news that Andrew passed away he was a well respected forecaster with and extensive knowledge on the weather. "andrew was a facinating and kind soul that we really enjoyed getting to know"
